The APC family is finally complete! The introduction of the APC308 in several versions has fulfi lled the long stated goal to have the APC in all major calibers. Just as a reminder theSE calibers are: 9 x 19mm, 9 x 21mm, 9mm FX, .45 ACP, 300 BLK, 5.56 x 45 mm, .223 Remington, and now .308 (7.62 NATO).
B&T has developed what many say is our fi nest work. The weapon possesses the all the same handling characteristic as the APC300, APC556 and APC9. This will reduced transition training time if an operator already has been trained in any of the other existing APC platforms. This will save time, money, energy and of course needless stress on any agency or service. The selector, magazine release, bolt handle, and bolt release are completely ambidextrous. The bolt handle can easily be changed to accommodate either left or right handed shooters. The stock folds to the right and can be fi red in the closed position.
The operator can also optimize the weapon to any mission by being able to choose any of the fi ve different stock options available. These are: Standard Folding Stock, Helmet Stock for use with a Ballistic Visor Stock, Collapsible Stock to make the weapon as compact as possible for transport, M4 Type Stock and the B&T designed Adjustable Folding Stock.
The upper receiver is machined from solid aerospace quality alloy. The NAR rails in the 12 and 6 o’clock position are machined into the receive and is not an add on so there is nothing to get loose and ruin the weapon’s zero. The rails The top rail runs along the entire receiver of the weapon. This provides 420mm of space to mount any type of optic, NVD, Thermal sight or booster on the market. The bottom rails runs 155mm to accommodate bipods, laser designators or handgrips.
