Reliable identification and content determination of narcotics directly on site

The concentration of narcotics is crucial for law enforcement. Simple color tests, as used by police and customs up to now, cannot provide content determination. For the most part, they can only be used for individual substances. In addition, the substances have to be sampled, which involves a great risk. The NIRLab simplifies this procedure.

The NIRLab is a very small, robust, handheld spectrometer. It detects narcotics, precursors and blends and, with its sophisticated algorithm, also identifies the contents. Its small size makes it easy to take anywhere. The results are displayed on a "smart device" (e.g. cell phone, tablet or similar) within a few seconds.

The measurement can be performed through transparent containers. This minimizes the risk of contamination of sample, environment or emergency personnel.
