Until now, X-ray technology, which is costly to set up and operate, has been used to screen and locate these hiding places. Now, with X-ray backscatter imaging, there are new options. The HBI-Nighthawk is a handheld backscatter imager for on-site use. Without lengthy preliminary work, it is possible to see directly on the device display if there are any abnormalities in car doors, car tires, fire extinguishers, walls, etc.
