The presentation introduces a seminar developed in collaboration with the Carl Cranz Society (CCG) that addresses the gap between foreseeable products of the near future and emerging, but potentially highly relevant, basic research in order to achieve a comprehensive view of all development possibilities, from the foreseeable to the speculative.
The concept goes beyond familiar approaches such as the Three Horizons Model: it not only addresses the time horizons from near (H1) to distant (H3), but also presents approaches that are unlimited in time (Hn), with a focus on engineering developments within the framework of NATO GAN (Generation After Next) Capabilities.
