Session description
Transparent heaters based on ITO, silver nanowires or graphene provide de-icing and anti-fogging while maintaining > 85% transparency and < 100 Ω/sq sheet resistance, but require costly deposition methods. Metal Mesh heaters are more robust and enable precise Joule heating. Transparent shielding layers protect sensors from EMI and high-power lasers. Metal Mesh structures outperform ITO with < 1 Ω/sq resistance, superior mechanical durability and better IR performance – critical for IR-based systems. Unlike brittle ITO coatings, Metal Mesh can be flexibly patterned and embedded in polymers for scalable, durable integration. Combining transparent heating and shielding in one multifunctional layer ensures clear vision and electromagnetic resilience for FLIR and lase ...
