Key Facts
- Ultra-light 3D mini zoom camera for surveillance applications, particularly within small drones. The underlying technology is based on digital, optical holography and permits instant all sharp images within the entire working range. This is possible due to algorithmic holographic evaluation of the 3D data rather than mechanical refocussing.
- The prototype weights 100 grams and will be usable at distances up to 1000 meters. At 100 meters of distance the optical lateral resolution is only 1 mm.
- Further applications will allow for a) lateral correlation to cope with (fast) moving objects, b) evaluation of air turbulences to keep the highest possible resolution and c) permit the access of an internal optical fiber port for a high power laser (1 kW)
