Simpert Reiter GmbH is an owner-managed family business in the food industry. We have been producing our products directly and in-house at our company location in Augsburg for over 95 years.

In the early 1980s, we founded the brand ‘travellunch’ and became the first German company to offer freeze-dried food. Forty years later, ‘travellunch’ is one of the world's leading brands for outdoor food.

The freeze-drying method has proven itself excellently to this day, as it preserves all the important nutrients, full flavour and natural colour of the food. Up to 95 per cent of the water content is removed, which reduces the weight accordingly and means that a portion bag weighs only 100 to 125 grams. Our products have a shelf life of up to five years.
