Session description
Software Defined Defence (SDD) is the paradigm for future capability development. Based on specific requirements, powerful software will enable the rapid adaptability of systems in resilient information networks.
This includes adapting to changing conditions and environemens as well as utilizing disruptive, software-based technologies. In this context, AI is a driver and an enabler for the implementation of SDD.
The paradigm addresses new platforms but is also focussing on existing systems. All of them have to be enabled by the use of open architectures and standards.
With the ongoing trend towards increasing automation and autonomization on the battlefield, unmanned systems are also coming increasingly into focus.
