In my presentation, I provide insights into the military evacuation from Kabul and explain what actually happened behind the familiar images: procedures, priorities and decisions under extreme time pressure – and the limits of what is feasible when the situation and threat level deteriorate by the minute. I also read selected passages from my book to bring this reality closer to home.
