Data volumes are growing while sources are becoming more fragmented: “more data, less clarity”. Maritime situational awareness shows the problem clearly. AIS, radar, space-based intelligence and OSINT provide a lot of evidence, while adversaries and criminal actors actively try to hide what they are doing. Without structured fusion, the result is information overload, contradictory evidence and false precision, and real anomalies get lost in the noise. The talk covers the key success factors: data integration and quality, traceability of where each piece of information came from, and AI-supported correlation that gives analysts clear indicators without making decisions for them.
