Europe’s challenge is turning defence prototypes into fielded capabilities. They must pass three tests: survive the battlefield through mission relevance and adaptation; survive the factory through scalable production, quality and resilient supply chains; and become part of the force through interoperability, training, sustainment and procurement. Ukraine shows the power of learning loops. Industry, armed forces, government and investors must unite this speed with Europe’s industrial depth.
