Founded in 1884, Comazo looks back at 140 years of textile heritage. In recent years, Comazo has become a specialist in workwear and protective base layer. With its headquarters in Albstadt on the Swabian Alb, Comazo is an owner-managed family business in the 4th generation. It stands for continuous innovation rooted in years of experience - whether in the military and police, fire brigades, special forces or specific industries. Heritage meets innovation and safety starts with the right first layer. Comazo is continuously working to improve functionality and comfort of its garments. The product range has developed over the past few years and increased in scope: from flame retardant, antistatic and climate control to sweat management and odor control and many more – comazo|protect has been able to score points with its customers in a wide variety of applications and industries thanks to its deep and sustainable know-how. The PPE in the military, police or fire brigade can be vital in dangerous operations. Here the expert comazo|protect with its flame retardant base layers starts with the first layer and protects in extreme cases. These special properties with the best wearing comfort are the result of the ingenious composition of the different materials.

The production takes place in Europe. Its centre is still at the headquarters in Albstadt, Germany. The innovative comazo|protect fabrics are knitted, dyed, finished and cut in Germany. The sowing and packaging of the garments is in our own sowing plants in Romania, Croatia or with our Bosnian partner companies who work exclusively for Comazo.The dyeing house and cutting department are still hosted in our heritage buildings in Albstadt, where you will also find our design and pattern sewing, yarn purchasing, quality control, logistics, sales and general management departments.

Having every production step in our own hands, Comazo ensures that the highest human, social and ecological standards are observed. We want to leave behind a clean environment for future generations. As a European producer, Comazo invests heavily in sustainable technologies that protect our environment.

All Comazo products bear OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. The quality management is certified according to TÜV ISO 9001:2015. Comazo is Fairtrade, GOTS and STeP by OEKO-TEX certified and a member of the BSCI.
